It’s getting to be that time of the summer when I have to start planning for the upcoming school year. Our principal effectively told specialists (like me) there would be no budget for supplies besides pencils and paper. As an art teacher who teaches kindergarten through eighth grade, general and special education in Boston, I need everything and anything I can get my hands on. I try to streeeetch it all, but with classroom sizes growing as they are, well, you can understand. SO … this post is a shameless plug asking for classroom donations. Whatever is purchased by donors is something I don’t have to buy for my classroom. If Octavio and I argue about anything, it’s the money I spend on the art room.
